The first annual “The Olympic Peninsula Air Affaire” was held at Sequim Valley Airport on Labor Day Weekend 2013 to celebrate the airport’s 30th Anniversary and the City of Sequim Centennial and was a big success! An estimated 3000+ people attended.
Cost for the event is essentially “Free”. There is a “$5 charge per car for Parking”.
This Event will be showcasing Aerial Demonstrations, Aircraft on Display, Hot Air Balloons, Kit Plane Remote Control (R.C.) Aircraft Demonstrations, and a Classic Car Show.
Plus: Food Booths, Arts and Crafts Booths, Educational Booths and Live Music on stage
From Seattle take the Seattle/Bainbridge Island Ferry. From Bainbridge, follow Highway 305 to Highway 3 in Poulsbo. Take Highway 3 to State Highway 104 crossing the Hood Canal Bridge. Continue on Highway 104 to U S Highway 101. Take Highway 101 west for 21 miles to Sequim. Continue past Sequim on Highway 101 to Carlsburg (approximately 2 miles west of Sequim), turn right at the light on Carlsborg Rd. (Costco will be on the left), travel all the way down Carlsborg Rd to the Old Olympic Highway, turn left and travel about a half mile to the airport entrance on the left. Address is 468 Dorothy Hunt Lane.
